Block Move

I have a problem with moving a block that has been defined by column select --
ALT-F#. When I try to MOVE it using ^M the block is unselected. ^M works
properly when I have defined a block using F3 (not a column). In the interim,
I am moving the selected column by COPYing it using ^C and then deleting the
block using SHIFT-F12, but it should be done in one keystroke, not two. What
am I doing wrong, or have I found another bug???
