XY-DOS AND WINDOZ

XY-> Can anybody give me some advice about using Xy-Dos under Windoze (pardon
-> the expression, Harmon). Specifically, what is the optimal setup in the
-> PIF file? It seems to work without any major problems, but the alt-tab
-> method of cycling through applications doesn't work, I assume because
-> XyWrite's keyboard is in control.

You don't mention which verson of Xy, but in the advanced options
in the pif file you can check which key operations you want
reserved to Windows, such as alt-tab. As for what's best, that
depends on your setup and on your comfort level of testing
different alternatives.

XY-> Also: is there any way to paste from the Windows clipboard into a XyWrite
-> file? And vice versa? If so, how, exactly?

The easiest way is to use the Xy-win. The Xy-dos alternative is
to run Xy in a window (enhanced mode) and make use of the
controls on the window in the upper-left-hand corner (mark &
copy); however, I find that way line endings get carriage
returns: My alternative is simply save a define and then load the
file into wherever it's going (when I didn't have Xy-win).

You'd probably want to use vshare.386 in systems.ini or share in
your autoexec.bat (if some setup hasn't already established one
of those files).

P.S. Don't mind Harmon; he's only overcompensating for coming
from the midwest.
