Nota Bene update

Dear XyWriters:

I'm not sure that I have kept this list up to date on Nota Bene, so here's
the latest news:

Lingua: For any of you who are interested in using the Hebrew (with
right-to-left character entry and word wrap), Greek or Cyrillic alphabets, we
are about to release Lingua Workstation (Scholar's Workstation plus expanded
multilingual capabilities). We are now offering a pre-release version of the
program to our customers who want to get started right away. See

Orbis: There has been some discussion on this list about cross file
searching. Orbis, our multi-file search program, may meet the needs of many
of you for fast, efficient searching of thousands of files at the same time.
Search for any word from within the word processor or use Boolean operators
to search for combinations of words or phrases. Search results can be
expanded to show the context and imported into an open document. Orbis is
sold as part of Scholar's Workstation (or Lingua Workstation).

Version 5.005: For those of you who are registered owners of Nota Bene
Scholar's Workstation (the word processor based on XyWrite combined with
Orbis and a bibliographic manager and a general database program), the latest
update is version 5.005. If you have an earlier version of Scholar's
Workstation, the update can be downloaded from
www.notabene.com/winsws_update.html. It can only be installed if you have
installed a previous version of Scholar's Workstation for Windows on your
computer. 

Word processor: For those of you who purchased the word processor alone
during our XyWrite introductory special, the version 5.005 update is for you
too. When you install the update, only the word processor will install
rather than the full Scholar's Workstation. We are no longer selling the
Nota Bene word processor as a separate program. If you would like to upgrade
from the NB word processor to the full Scholar's Workstation, the cost is
$150. Mention that you have the word processor in the comments section of
our online order form, or call our office.
